like the subject says. i have a 2000 a4 and on the driver's door, sometimes when i close it, the dash screen says the door's still open, and the tone keeps beeping. i have to open and close it again, sometimes several times, to get the tone to stop and the screen to go to normal info. i would guess there's something up with the door close sensor, but where is it?

 

Sounds like the contact switch in the sensor is bad/dirty try cleaning it first.

 

cool, will do. but where is the door contact sensor located? granted it's dark out, but i can't find it!
