Hi all,frustrated newbie here.

Have an A4 170 TDI which has today gone into limp mode on the way back from work. DPF light had been on, then the glow plug light, and into limp mode. Have previously sent to my local mechanic when it happened before who sorted it for £80, but I need to get to a meeting first thing tomorrow and need the car so I was wondering if I can still try to clear the filter by driving down the motorway? Or is the only way to send it back to the mechanic?
