ITs what move the TB the older cars have a wire the newer ones use a icm controled (not 100% icm or not) but the dirve by wire has slower pick up then non drive by wires cars. If you have a B5 Drive by wire B6 you do not

It's simply a car that has the throttle body controlled by a potentiometer(at the pedal)and aservo motor (at the throttle body)instead of a mechanical linkage or cablesystem.Easier to respond to the ? than to bitch about doing a search IMO

Wasn't bitchin I had a basic idea but not good enough to give an answer so I suggested doing a a search. It had been about an hour since he asked and no one had responded with info. Instead of waiting he could of searched. I dont flame on asking questions I asked more than my fair share of questions with answers easily found in a search. Sorry if it came off as me "bitchin"

nyaudia498, you have a non-drive by wire car (aka drive by cable). Drive by wire did not start until the 2000 model year.
