ok..yay..maybe now i can pass inspection lol..my new drivers side mirror(glass) on my 98 a4 1.8t just came in from the dealer...2 moro im hopin to fix the cracked glass..any one know if this is a simple job and is there something i should know before pulling my door off?..lol if thats even what i have to do

 

it is a very simple job, but i forgot who told it best.. i think it was a mod.. they will see this and tell you soon :] it's a very simple job though, it just pops out, you detatch the wires.. attatch the new glass and pop it in.

 

Do a search, jestnomen was the one who gave the description. No more than a week ago.

It's really easy to do man... you seriously just need to bend a coat hanger or something to an L, hook it behind the mirror, and pull... two coat hangers (one for top and bottom) would likely be ideal... and just sort of wiggle it out with some pulling force.

Then you disconnect the little wire on it (for defrost) and installation is even easier than removal. Just do it!
