Default Driver side mirror

My driver side mirror glass was stolen but I am not quite sure what all needs to be replaced as I have never seen behind the glass before so not sure what it is supposed to look like.
To me it looks like someone just popped the glass off and unplugged three wire harnesses. All of the mechanicals are still in tact.
Wondering if someone has advice as to this happening to them or how I might be able to tell what all I need to replace and the best place to buy the part or parts.

If plastic circle to is still there then you might replace only mirror part (costs $20-30)

The plastic circle is still there. How does the mirror glass fasten to the circle and does the replacement mirror glass have connections to the 3 wire harnesses coming out of the mirror housing. What are those 3 wires for?

The picture is attached. The connector is for heated mirror.

There is a plastic ring attached to the back of the mirror that snaps into the ring in the housing.

When my mirrors get funky Iusually get a whole assembly from a junkyard and just swap the mirror portion.

BTW nice picture --Where did you get it?

I've got this printout picture from a shop with the mirror part (as guideline to install it). They said this image is from ELSA.

I know that it is illegal to copy images directly from ELSA. So should I remove it?

I also have ELSA and find ita good source when trying to figure out how something is put together but I had kinda forgotten about it.

Bentley is helpful but horrible when it comes to graphics.I questioned the source of the picture because itmade the construction very clear and wanted to know ifI was missing an opportunity to get more info when I began a project.

yes, that was elsa - I've found the same picture there. The only trouble was to install elsa on vista - it fails while opening workshop. I've installed XP under MS Virtual PC and it works there now.

Replacing mirror part also helps if heating fails - mine mirror was not heated before replacing the element.

Another reason to tell Mr. Gates and company where to put Vista!

I hope XP is the last upgrade I need to do. Got XP pro on my Puter and had a few minor problems. Got XP pro with my wife's laptop and everything was great. Got Vista on mydaughter's laptop andhad nothing but trouble. Thank's Billy Boy...
