Default Is this the DV?

I am doing the timing belt, so good time to look into this......

97 1.8tq

Is this the DV in the picture, above the one I am holding?

Is that the stock one?

The one In my hand was in the trunk when I bought the car. It has a part number on it of 058-145-710.

Is this an upgrade to the one that's there now? The one on the car has no markings or part number that I can see.

You can see the one on the car is a little larger.

Should I replace the one on the car with the one in my hand?

Thanks!

the best way i think to tell a stock dv from an aftermarket one is that the stock ones usually consist of some rubber build. this rubber breaks easily which causes boost leakage. that's why aftermarket dvs like forge or bailey often make their dvs out of alloy.

The diverter valve that's installed is aftermarket. The one in your hand is probably stock.
