I'm thinkin about getting a new DV along with the GIAC chip as the stock one can't really handle the upgrades the chip provides and was wondering which DV was the best to buy. I know there have already been other posts talking about this but everyone just says the one they use. Has anyone actually compared some or have proof of one being better than the other? At the moment i'm deciding between Forge 007 (or possibly 006) or Hyperboost. Also should i upgrade the waste gate valve or is it not worth it?

BTW i have a 1998 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro

I like the forge valves i had a 006 which is the non compact 007 and i loved it, and the N75H valve is sweet man it makes a huge difference in how your car feels its much quicker with it

your not gunna hurt anything by not having a different N75 valve, and still not gunna hurt the car by having the stock DV it just one last long and hold all the boost and i have a N75h valve on my car at home that im selling but it would be a while before i could go take it off

Fair enough, just trying to get a jump on it as I am going to be doing my timing belt this weekend too. And I figured since I am going to have half my engine apart I might as well do it all and save myself the time.

you can drive on a stock dv w/ chip, it wll most likely just fail. buy a 710n and call it a day, max $45 from the dealer.

n75h, also know as the n75 "race" valve, is the electronic actuator that controls your wastegate. The n75h opens the wastegate later, causing a quicker spool, and a average of 1-3 psi increase in boost pressure. It has also been know to reduce peakyness, and spikynss of boost curves
