Default DV Story! UPDATE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

So got bored today, and when engineers get bored, money is spent or things r broken

so, i decided to jack up the car and unplug the recirculating line from the DV and plug it so it cant suck air in. i wanted to see how it sounded. Well, it sounded awesome, but the car wouldnt idle. also, i would get the PSHHHHHH sound even if i was driving not in the boost, with like 10 inches of mercury, which i thought was wierd.

so is it normal that the car wont even idle when this is done? and y is there pressure before the throttle body valve when im not on the throttle?

did the same thing with mine a while ago, for ***** and giggles, lasted a trip around the block, then is stalled at an intersection and wouldnt restart.. had to climb under it in the street and hook it up again

next time you are bored, disconnect your n75
car will pull like hell for about 10 seconds in 1st gear, and then cut out.. then it will be impossible to drive with any boost at all, because the wastegate chokes itself

OMG I did this mistakingly when I recently replaced my turbo!! I actually forgot to bolt in the supply line from the turbo to the N75 valve!! What I sound and feeling that was!! Holy sh*t!! I took for a test drive after the installation and right away knew something was wrong as you could just here this incredible spool!! The car boosted like hell only to cut-out at higher rpm's like stated above; still an awesome experience!!

WOW bad...

SO, i took my car to get a haircut today, last night i plugges the DV back in and it ran find.

On the 2 mile drive to the barber, i stepped on it right before i got there, and the CEL started flashing. Now, the car idles super rough adn whenever i am touching the throttle, it runs suuuuper rough!!!

I drove slowly home and when i got home, i opend the hood to see that Cat glowing like a lightbulb. I am guessing that one of the cylinders isnt sparking and just dumping raw fuel into the car

HELP PLEASE...i need my car to drive to tahoe tomorroe!!!!

The car doesnt idle because you are leaking air out at idle. You basically get to rich from this and stumble to the point of stalling. Thats why you need a twin piston bov on a maf'ed based car. As for the release with no boost, there is still air in the system and when it flows over the valve, it make noise, kind of like a whistle makes noise. Just reinstall it like normal and then reset the ecu and everything should be back to normal

Nono, this problem started AFTER i fixed the DV

But, i found out it was just a coilpack, ompleetly unrelated to the DV thing, and now it is all better
