dyno'd after giac

why is the HP so low though? isnt GIAC supposed to put it up to 197 or something like that?

so were looking at 170awhp and 205lbs/tq on a giac chipped 1.8 @ 17psi, any other mods?? diverter valve?? good thread..

no real other mods, I put a 710n in of course, but other than that... boost gauge, k+n... and I think that there would probably be somewhere near 190something horsepower at the crank, which is probably what giac advertises about... it's the massive torque curve jump that did it for me

170awhp is more like 220 at the crank

is it really? Sorry, I'm not sure what the drivetrain losses really are, I'm new to the whole dyno thing. Cool then, thats pretty good :-D

I have a gauge I got from advance... it looks like crap cause it's indiglo blue and completely ruins the dark / red scheme at night... but it goes from -30 to 30, and it was cheap and there, so I got it. I have a pod on the A-pillar too.

i figured the boost fell off quickly cause its such a small turbo... i'm not knowledgeable enough yet to run a boost controller. i've got a bunch of other issues (ignition (see other post), exhaust leak, etc)
