This morning i got the gauge installed (profesinally) and it looks great. I havent done anything to the car yet bc its still under 1K mi. When driving the gauge makes this anoying buzzing sound when the needle moves. Is there any way to fix this? i'm hoping the sound just stops after a while. I had an rx8 for 2 1/2 yrs and am pretty new to the vw/audi world. Any suggestions??? thanks

 

they must have not used the correct T fitting. you can order one off of ECS and it has a small brass insert in the end that goes to the gauge - I think this is a non-buzzing insert -you would just have to cut the old one out and push the new one in.

go to ecs - go to interior - go to gauges - scroll down to "ES#2989"

I have the vdo vent gauge from apr too and I just recently put in a no buzz T and its been so nice. I lived with that buzzing for over a year.

 

maybe apr could include a no buzz lol

 

im confused bc i just looked at the sight where i ordered it from (ecstuning.com) and i think that piece came with the gauge kit

 

Theres also an inline filter thats supposed to help stop the buzzing. It came with my AWE center vent boost gauge.
