Electric Boost Gauge?
Ok, So I bought my Audi yesterday (still haven't figured out what ECU it has in it) but I noticed that the boost gauge is an AutoMeter Carbon full electric (no vacuum line) gauge. I was wondering if anyone knew whether or not these are accurate. I'm not too sure if it is because it never goes into the 'vacuum zone;' when it's idling, it stays at 0.
p.s. I did search but couldn't find anything.

if it's showing "0" when you're idling, it's wrong. I'd re-install it, or have it done at a shop, to be sure it's done right. whoever installed it initially probably didn't know what they were doing and f*cked it up.
That's what my thoughts were. OK, I've looked at the gauge again....and (me being a dumbass) found that it actually does have a vacuum line on the back of it (it was just so wedged in the corner of the window I didn't see it before). But the vacuum line goes down near the turbo itself. It is run all the way across to the passenger side of the vehicle and down towards the turbo under the air ducting. Does anyone know what this could be connected to. And should I disconnect it and run it to the line on the manifold?
ok, I have tried my best to trace this line, but I can't seem to figure out where it goes once it goes under the airbox ducting.....I don't see it anywhere near the turbo....I'm stumped. Does anyone have any ideas?
It should be connected to the front of the intake manifold. Like shown here: http://goapr.com/Audi/support/boost_gauge_pod.pdf
You can also T it into the FPR line, but i think the intake mani way is best.
