Both front turn signals are out, but the bulbs are fine since when the headlights are on they are on as well. The car also refuses to start frequently, it will just hang and finally start, and the epc light will be on. And then ill turn the car off and start it back up and it starts perfectly and the epc light is gone. I have no idea whats goin on. It seems it all started when my fuel pump went, and it was replaced but continued to make noise on startup. Where should I start as far as troubleshooting? Im getting ready to sell this car pretty soon and i want to make sure its in perfect condition before I do.

EDIT: The door trunk release also stopped working randomly..Dunno if it could be related..

 

1. check all the fuses for the lights
2. where did you get your fuel pump done? (mechanic could have screwed up and shorted the system)
3. check the starter, solinoid and computer, have the computer scanned for codes.
4. take your car to a mechanic that deals with audi's and not a mom and pop shop that does hondas etc....

 

Took it to autozone and had the codes checked..nothing. I was thinking, I have had a K04 in there for a pretty long time without the software, is it possible that could be the cause of these problems?

 

You need a VAG com that can read sporatic faults, the autozone scanner isn't gonna see those, and the epc light is probably the abs module going out.
