I just had my timing belt changed at 75k miles and after a few weeks the engine started ticking. I made an appointment to get it checked out, but before I could get someone to look at it the engine felt like it locked up on me while I was driving on the beltway. Every time I would give it gas it would make this awful noise. Is my engine done?

I just bought this car in December last year. HELP!!

 

I have a 2002 A4 3.0 by the way.
