Engine Lag?
i didnt know what you call this.. but anyway
when i shift from 1st to 2nd fast, and i go to 6k rpms in 1st. when i get into 2nd at first it feels like the engine is holding back then it starts to go fast. it happens the most coming out of a turn from a complete stop. any ideas on whats going on? could it just be from shifting in a turn?
1999 2.8 30v
106.5k miles
stock non-sport suspention and i still have studdless snow tires on...

RE: Engine Lag?
This is a Starndard
In 1st gear put a load on the engine with no gas it should stall rightway
then try it in a higher gear to see if the is to much slippage in the clucth plate and pressure plate
the fingers get weak and you dont get a strong holding effect and it seems like its slipping
