Engine shakes at startup
recently my car has been shaking when i cold start it. it feels like someone is shaking it from side to side. and once it drops btwn 850 and 1k it runs smooth as ever. is my timing off? i had the belt done 8k ago, could it have broken in at all and loosened and in turn threw my engine timing off? or is the ecu correcting it for me and retarding my timing automatically?
any help is appreciated

Is it running differently or throwing any codes?

and the shake is not voilent, just like a rumbling like i have a silent V8 in there.
maybe change your plugs. if they are fouled or the wrong heat range, it will be most noticeable on a cold start before they heat up. you might be getting slight misifres, could be that they arent frequent or severe enough to trigger a flashing cel. If it was engine mounts it would be noticeable all the time. get scanned for fault codes. You dont have to have a cel for there to be fault codes stored.

ill try and change the plugs, see of that helps anything. it makes sense that they might not be gapped correctly and not getting an efficnet cold spark.

But I would get the ecu scanned for fault codes first, its free, and may point to a problem unrelated to plugs. But if you dont know when the plugs were replaced last, do it.
