has anyone swaped a 1.8t FWD engine into a 2.8 fwd car b4 if someone has i would love to talk to them or read about it or look at pix or something thank in advance

 

why not sell your car and then buy a 1.8t....

 

Yeah... I can't see how it would be worth it. It'd be lot of work.

 

ya you get more money for the 2.8 also then you buy the 1.8t and have alil money for mods

 

cause engine is only $1200 for full eninge, tranny, and ecu will be $800 to install. other way would be wait for my car to sell get money go get an a4 1.8tq for about $6000 then re do the suspension and and alll the other mods. just seems ezer to do the sawp.

 

keep the 2.8 tranny.

But still, I would part out your 2.8 because some mod's aren't for both. I.E. suspension. Your back end will be sitting lower than your front end if you use 2.8 front springs in a 1.8T.

 

bank loan... buy a 1.8T... swap over the parts (grab a wrench.. DIY) lol... even try and swap the 2.8 and 1.8T trannys... the buyer won't notice. then... sell the 2.8. As mentioned earlier... you'll get more for the 2.8 than the 1.8T. Could come out even... even if you do take it to a shop to have it done. Definatly be worth it in the end... try selling a car with an engine swap...
