Default Engine thoughts needed

Hi , heres the deal I blew out my engine and now Im in the business of looking for a replacement, I found this one site MVPEuroporsts.com which sells new engines for my fwd 2003 A4 1.8t. Does anyone one no the reputation on these engines , such as the lifespan and problems that arise with it not being an original audi engine. Please help im getting ready to buy but i need to know that it wont go dead on me in a few months time. Any ideas suggestions about this engine would be appreciated. Here are the specs engine goes for $3500

What happen to your engine? You might not need to go through all that cost.

i have heared good and bad things. So take that as you wish. You can go to "my car is f'd" thread and buy the engine linked there for $2500 and it is a built engine. You can also look at my thread in the TT section and have your engine bored out and stroked to a 2.0 or just use 83mm pistons and have a 1.9T. Check out qedpower.com for more info. Bob Q has everything you need.

Also i will have my ATC rods (strongest stock rods) out soon if you want them for cheap to go with larger diam pistons since they are 20mm wrist pins like all the wiseco pistons.

sounds like a good candidate for that 2.7 swap haha. you should look into that though, its under the thread pretty interesting ebay find or something like that. CincyTT seems to think it should work so i say go for it, if you gunna be doing a swap anyway you might as well get a bigger engine. and its a true audi engine so theres plenty of people on here that can help you with any problems.

Dont throw me under the bus here. It would take tons of fabrication to make it fit/run and far more than most are willing to pay for.
