3.0 avk opinions what are your thoughts on the engine
what are these engines capable of is there a good aftermarket for them just curious also can it be swapped for a 2.7t when i ask this i mean are the bellhousings the same im an ase certified tech for nissan just looking at my options just picked up a 02 a6 quattro that someone tried to put a timing belt on without the proper tools and broke a valve i got the car for $600 cash i did a search from what ive seen everyone saying its to expensive. im trying to find out whats got to be done the 3.0 avk engine is between 2500 to 6500 used. ive seen 2.7t for like 1200 to 1400 and see that they are great power plants and know that i will need wiring harness and computer. if it winds up being to crazy i guess i can build a subframe and drop an ls1 in it and make it rwd. any info would be great thanx these r pics of it sorry its dark outside it has the s4 body kit on it so the guy said i really didnt care i thought it was a good deal

Thats not an A6, probably an A4 3.0Q, with the S body kit on it. If it was an A6, it would look like my car.
And Ive never heard of putting a 2.7T into a B6 A4, you need to take this to the S car section, those guys should eat this idea up! Good luck!

Hey, no problem. Just tryin to help point you in the right direction. Good luck with your project, if you actually swap a 2.7T in this car, let us know. It would be sick!
O, and the bell housing may be similar, both engines were mated to the same auto gear box in A6's. And 3.0s are stupid expensive, not sure why, but they are. The 2.7 is a good motor, turbos go out on em, but most people just look at that as an excuse to upgrade. Also, valve cover/cam seals are prone leak, but all Audi engines with the belt driven cams have that issue. Like I said, try in the S section, they love anything that involves a 2.7T.
