Default Ever seen this?

http://www.jr.com/JRProductPage.process?Product=4189821

It seems really cheap/not legit. I don't eve know if it will fit b6 a4...

What products can you guys recommend like this? The RNS-E is too expensive...I'm looking at sub $500.

I'm a huge nub when it comes to this stuff.

Power Acoustik isn't exactly a fantastic name, but it may be OK - I just couldn't tell you for sure. I bought a Jensen in dash DVD player (not exactly the Alpine I am used to having, either), but it's actually been really, really good. It has the built-in controls for XM and iPod as well, it's 7" touchscreen, and works flawlessly. For $386.20 out the door, I can't complain one bit about it. Go to my profile and link to my photo gallery from there - there's a few pics of it in there.

Never seen it. As far as fitting the B6 A4, not sure. Get the measurements/dimensions of the unit and compare with RNS-E. I have the RNS-E in my B6. If I can help you with something, let me know.

This is it?

If I bought the harnesses and other stuff elsewhere, how much would that be?

dude i would stay away from those no name brands....UpstateNYA4...even jensen is a pretty shitty brand, andthey are prone to break. I do alot of car stereo stuff....when it comes to flip screens and touch screens, alot of stuff can break, even with the good brands.

what would you recommend? If I can't end up affording a legit touch screen unit, then I'll just go with the regular cd aftermarket headunit with an aux input. Even for that I don't know where to go.

I would just recommend geting a regular headunit w/ the aux imputs...Because with those touch screens you cant watch dvds or anything while the car ismoving, the emergency break has to be on, and if you want a good one, you will be reaching deep into your pocket. I would just get a good headunit like an alpine, eclipse, kenwood...I would go to a place like best buy, or citcuit city, or a common electronics store. Find a head unit that you like, and ask the guys that work there if it will work with your b6. I also have a b6 and i have the bose stereo package, and i know that some of those after market headunits will not work work properly with the bose setup. If you are looking to hook up a sub and amp, you can still hook it up even if you have a stock headunit. Go to a electronics/car stereo store, and talk to someone there about it. You would much rather be safe than sorry.

-So if i were you, i would go to a car stereo store, find a sub that you like and an amp that will properlly power the sub. And get it installed professionally, if you decide to keep the stock head unit(I would keep the stock head unit) The reason i would keep the stock head unit is because the bose head unit keeps the speakers from blowing out/over heating. And once you put an aftermarket head unit in there, you will be able to crank it up all the way, and it will **** up the speakers.

Thanks for the reply kyle.

Another option is just to get an aux line. A few months ago, I was waiting for a small 7" laptop to come out and it finally is in a few weeks. I'm probably going to do this because it will probably be the easiest/having a computer in the car is really nice.

What would I need for a simple aux line? I remember going to bestbuy and asking this but it seemed it would be like $150 or so which doesnt really make sense. (i would also need a mount)

BTW I don't have a cassette player. Sorry for being all over the place.
