Evidently my car is only supposed to run 13psi.....
WellI talked to the guys at auto assets and they said my car is "running great!" which i think is horse sh*t. Im still only peaking at 15psi for a split second and then itholds at 10-13psi and doesnt go any higher. They scanned it, it had no codes, no errors, and its running fine and smooth. (Besides the not enough power part.) And again,I still have no boost leaks. Im looking at getting a test pipe with my stock exhaust just to free up a little bit of hp in case the converter is clogged. Thats about all.
Since I have a tipI figuredI wont put a whole lot more money into it and just save up for an S4 ayear or 2from now. Auto Assets also told me I had old Revo software on the car before because it was pushing 9psi beforeI flashed it with GIAC software. I was also told a k04 isnt worth it to upgrade because the casings for the turbos were only a few millimeters bigger. So if anyone has input on my situation im all ears.

Are you in Columbus Ohio? Just wondering, there is an auto-assets here and I was wondering if thats where you took it, in powell ohio.
Sounds like the boost is a little low, did you replace the DV when you had it flashed? If not, that could be why.

You have an 01, so you have a k03S and differentstock ecu tuning- which makes stockboost 9-10 psi where 97-00 is only 5-8psi. If its true that you had revo, i have read that once you get revo there are issues if you try to get reflashed with another brand chip. I hate to say it, but Auto Assets is full of crap. If you had a clogged cat, you SHOULD have a fault code of some sort. I got chipped by auto assets and my boost holds 18 psi with spikes to 20. In the summer Ive noticed i hold 20 and spike to 22ish. So, it just doesnt make any sense. It should not be dropping/holding only 10 psi. Then again, if you have a cheapo boost gauge, it could be reading wrong, but even if thats the case, it shouldnt be THAT wrong.

did they install the gauge, or did you?
when i installed mine, i had a boost leak (caused by rotted lines), but i also found that i didnt seal everything as tightly as i should have when i went back over everything

Well i have a 98with the giac ecu, and mine will boost up to 18 or so and never holds and around redline I will be at about 8-10 psi.....do you think it is because they changed the ecu after my year? i also have a vdo gauge, so what do you think? thanks!
