I have a 2010 Audi A4 Quattro. Normally I have to add 1 quart every 1000 miles. I hated it at first but now I've gotten used to it. The problem is that now I'm having to add 1 quart every 600 or 700 miles! This is frustrating and I'd like to know if anybody else is going through this issue. I just took it to the shop to replace a breather valve so my wallet and I aren't too happy right now.

 

That is excessive. I only go through a quart every 2500 to 3000 miles. If you are not seeing a leak anywhere you might want to have Audi conduct an oil consumption test to see if your car is with in the norm (doesn't sound like it to me).

 

You're right, I'll set up an appointment for next week. I hope it's nothing serious!
