Default exessive oil burning in a 2010 A4

Hi I only have 2,600 miles on a 2010 A4 ........the oil ligh went on because I was 1 quart low. The dealer says it is normal....can somebody give me the real information as to why it is using so much oil in a short period of time?

Same issue here as well. I get roughly 5K miles and the warning light comes on. It seems to be too quick for a 2.0T to go through a quart in that span of time. Dealer also told me that was normal. Anyone have a different opinion, or is that the way it truly is?

I have a 2010 a4 avant that is roughly the same on oil -- i get about 3k to the quart. How much you are going to use is going to depend on the way you drive it. The harder you pull, the more it is going to drink as it is used to help cool the turbo. Audi actually finds this consumption to be "normal" and only defines excessive oil consumption to be 1 quart ever 1,200 miles. On the bright side, you can go to your dealer and they will refill your oil for you at no charge
