Nope, no chip needed. The most beneficial addition to your ponypower from the exhaust is the replacement of the catalytic converter. There's two ways to do this:

1) Testpipe
2) High-flow cat

Now, I don't promote or do anything illegal (except that one time... she said she was 18 though), so I'm going to leave it up to you to decide: High-flow cats have around the same gains, are as expensive as 60 years and 1 month of Weight Watchers; 1,661 pounds of wholesale bananas; or numerically equivalent to the amount of hair follicles of a 19-25 year old red-headed female. But, you will pass emissions tests. Testpipes are alot more burly sounding, 10000x cheaper, and better for the flow.

Test pipes are only problematic if you live in a state that has required emissions testing. Also, since you have a Quattro, most testing facilities are unable to properly test your car so many get away with a TP...however, it's up to you if you want to take that bet. I think with a new exhaust and a TP, you can probably expect about a 10hp gain. And that's the beauty of this forum...if I'm wrong, someone will surely chime in.

haha same here man. i guess if u want performance gains u would have to bite the bullet and get a high flow cat. if u just want sound, take out the mid muffler. or if u want rly loud sound take out both mufflers lol. i think one of them is a resonator but for our sake they look bout the same so they're both mufflers lol. there's vids on youtube of ppl who have done it so u can get a taste of the sound

u don't rly need to get n intake system from a company. just get a cone filter and an adapter that fits on ur MAF. i got mine on ebay. they should make one for ur car too. and since winter is here in NY, u can worry about the heatshield when spring comes. check out ma pic of my ghetto intake. that's how u should do it too cuz it's cheap, simple and effective. car sounds alot better than with the airbox.

https://www.audiforums.com/m_700266/tm.htm has lots of exhaust sound clips to help you decide on one. also has info on mods for the 3.0 the only one thats actually gona add serious power is a supercharger. intake, unless done right, you will probly lose power. exhaust will add a couple, same with a chip.
