Exhaust and Intercooler
Questions on both...
Exhaust: How do these sound on the 1.8t's? I don't want it to sound like a weedeating ricer. Does anyone have any sound clips or know where I could find some?
Intercooler: What does this do? What is it's purpose? How does it add HP? What is the average cost? Is this install a DIY?
Thank you all!

Exhaust- As long as you don't get a rice can, it won't sound anything like a weedeater. There are a few clips around the web of different exhausts.
Intercooler- It cools the air from the turbo before it enters the intake. Cooler air= Denser air= More HP. It's not really adding HP, it's regaining HP lost from the heat of the turbo. You car already has one stock. It's a side mounted intercooler (SMIC) located in front of your drivers side wheel. I think there's a dual SMIC mod for the B6's which gives you a secon intercooler on the passenger side. I just don't feel like looking. A front mounted intercooler (FMIC) can cost up to $2000.
