i'm gonna buy a new muffler for my car, for the time being, until i can afford a 3" exhaust. does any one know what the stock measurement is right where the tail pipe connects to the muffler on a 1998 audi a4 1.8t quattro?, i really need to find out please help me!!!!

Muffler outlet diameter where the tips are attached? Length from muffler to end of tips? Inlet pipe diameter at front of muffler? Dimensions of muffler?
Let me know. I'll measure when I get home. My Stock exhaust is sitting in the garage.

 

i just need the big pipe that goes right into the muffler, at the beginning of the muffler. i dont know any other way to put it, lol. i just need the big pipe measurement. around 2 3/8" i have no clue , let me know man thanks.

 

hey also overall length would be good to if you can get that, overall length of the muffler that is, and width, that would be a big help thanks again man.

 

Muffler approx. 18.5" longx12" wideX8" deep
The inlet pipe size is 2" (measure 2 3/8" outside diameter). So when you order a new muffler buy one with a 2" inlet.
