i just got a 1999 A4 quattro...and im in the market for a cat-back exhaust but theres alot out there and im not sure what i want...what would u suggest, i want good power and a niice sound...all ur opinions count

 

I looked at quite a few for my '98 1.8t. I liked Milltek the best, but it was very expensive (about $900.00). I wound up going to a local speedshop that did a cat-back for about $350.00 (mandrel bends). It has a nice mellow sound, and it seems to me that it gave a little bit more bump.

Have you seen the new rolled back tips for borla? Just wondering if there is a reason other than looks for the change and if anyone has pics of what it looks like ona b5.

 

I would assume there is little difference because you can slap on the new muffler with those rolled tips on the older Borla systems. Check out www.awe-tuning.com for all that good stuff.

I know someone that went through 20 exausts because after 3 rpm, it started chirping like a ricer. It wont happen all the time??

 

I have the new borla with the roll up tip, its mucho nice. They claim it boost like 15hp, but i doubt it, how ever yor car will sound something like the new stock 3 series bmws, just a lil deeper tone around 3,000rpm.
