I called up the custom shop guy near where I live and was quoted $600 to do a custom exhaust from converters to exhaust tip. He said he will use the aluminum steel piping. Is this a good price for labour and pipes?

u should buy the parts and have him weld them.

 

Would be about right for stainless on a V6 but about $100 or so high for aluminized steel.
