ive never heard of them needing to be a certain length, but i do know that they cant be too long. theres some limit on how far they can stick out, but ive never heard of it being 2 short. I would go to the place and take out 3 inches of the stright pipe. Ill send u 5 bucks if that is ever a problem.

and if u used the borla, your limiting the exiting exhaust to 2.25. they cant make it magically flow 2.5" tho. they can make it fit on, but why wouldnt u keep it 2.5" back?
