extended warranty and chip
I have a 2002 A4 Tip that I want to chip and patiently waiting for my warranty to expire before doing so - I have had drivetrain issues with the car and do not want to even come close to messing with the Audi warranty. I will most likely get an extended warranty from a 3rd party, not Audi, and am curious if they have issues with mods like chips? Anyone have and experiences? Thanks.
the extened warrenties outside of Audi are not worth the paper they are wrighten on if you want no hassle get the audi assured warrenty and the chip will only void parts that will relate to the chip ex: computer fried they will not cover, suspension parts worn still covered
I had a car years ok with one thron in free on the deal so I said sure but seriously they do not cover anything if you read it all it is just BS i ended up throwing the warrenty in the garbage and selling the car I was so pissed but I have assured now I pay a $50 detuctable for repairs and almost everything is covered not like the factory warrenty mind you like rotors and pads arn't covered but this is a wear item and trim pieces arn't covered just little things but it is well worth the money i've had 2 climite control head units replaced due to my stupidness using the cup holder above the radio and that spills all over the climite control 1 radio, 1 instrument cluster 1 gas pedal 1 throttle body, suction pump, and a MAF replaced already on my 2000 A4 1.8TQM so I have definetly gotten my money out of this
Don't worry about the chip. Don't abuse the car and take care of it on schedule; you'll be fine. If you abuse it and/or don't take of it, you will end up having problems with the car anyway. And it will be your fault.
