I am going to be in the market for an A4 in January and being that l will be looking for at least a 2005 or newer model year what is the deal with the warranty. I will not buy one without the orig warranty in effect even though l know Audi gives a 50,000 mile 4 yr warranty when bought new. Their CPO cars can have up to a total of 6 yrs and 100,000 miles if it is bought from an Audi dealership.

What is the deal when an Audi is bought from another dealer (non Audi) or from a private party.

And what is the approx cost of an extended warranty based on the full 2 extra years and 50,000 miles with a $100 deduct.

I went to the Audi site and l couldn't find an answer there regarding buying a used Audi from a private party and then getting an extended warranty.

I recently purchased an A4 from an individual that was covered by an Audi CPO extended warranty. As long as the car is still within the CPO warranty coverage period, the warranty can be transferred for $150. There is a $50 deductable for covered repairs. I think there is a restriction on the number of times the waranty can be transferred. Call Audi about their warranty programs. This warranty already saved me a bunch of money as three ignition coils went out the first week I owned the car.
I don't know anything about the orig warranty or third party extended warranties, I believe there are other threads covering warranty threads.
