Default F**KING Fuel filter...

Well I have my tank pried down a bit and I'm trying to get my T-40 6pt to fit in the strap bolt but the damn thing is pretty rusty. I heard an allen wrench could work too? Anyonek know what size?

How should I go about getting my filter out...?

I have not done this job. Try WD-40.

Samething happened to me. I just cursed the german engineers and forgot about it. One of these days I'll try it again, if I find the right tool.

I think its the 12mm allen wrench, but I have been wrong before.

I've found a hammer works as well.... just harder to put back together afterwards [8D]

Well I finally got the new one in... I ended up cutting the plastic and just zip tied it in place. The car seems to run a little smoother, and has a bit more pick up.

The old filter had black **** coming out of it!

I got a WIX filter from orileys. Everything fit alright and anything was better than my 94k old one.

Yeah I hear that. Mine has about 91k on it, time to get that going I think. Gonna be a busy weekend, timing belt, brakes, fuel filter, playing around with my new GIAC chip... and i'm sure the wife will try to make me do some crap around the house too *sigh*
