An impact gun makes getting those banjo bolts off easy... just don't put them back on with the old crush washers.

The Wix filter came wth crush washers but I didn't see one that was stuck on the fitting, so I had a leak when I assembled it back together. I took off the old washer and all was well.

Yeah, even though the job was a total PITA... it was worth it in my mind. An independent euro car shop wanted $150 to replace it because they "had to drop the tank". In retrospect I should've cut the plastic strap in the first place and not have even tried with the strap bolt.

 

or you can do what i did.. cut the btich out and make a new braket.. I just cut the dam strap and then make a new one out of mettle, my was rusted and stripped..
