F*ck - central locks don't work - electrical issue
Ok, this is great...
First off - I'm a dumbass
Now that we have that out of the way. I got my keyless system today. I was all excited to get out and hook it up. I took the seat out of the back and got my big *** wire cutters. I unhooked the brown connector on the stock keyless module.
I grabbed the connector and placed my wire cutters around the wires... SNIP
I then see a spark... and then realize I didn't unhook my battery
****
I then did nothing else to the car... I tried to lock the car and no dice. I checked all the fuses in the box on the drivers side interior - everything looked peachy.
Anyone know what other fuses I could check and where? I have NO central locks but do have windows, interior lights, radio...
Did I mention I'm a dumbass?
Here are the wires I clipped all at once... http://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec52.shtml

The central locking fuse is located on the driver's side in the main fuse box, if the fuse is good and your getting power through there, your central locking module is bad
Pretty sure the central locking module is toast... I've got 12.7v o the locking module, yet it doesn't do jack.
I ordered one up for $60 (used) and I'm awaiting it...

AGHHHHH I just got a used central locking module and that didn't help!! Is there anything I have ot do to make it work? Does anyone have a diagram of EVERY component with the central locks? How about the associated fuses?
Did you pull any connector anywhere by chance? If so, try spraying them with electronics cleaner spray. I just replaced my window regulators, and when I put them back together nothing on the front doors worked. Cleaned connectors with electronics cleaner and they worked fine.
The connection I pulled was first on the remote locking module for the keyless - I then snipped those wires. he connections at the central locking module look fine.
Seriously - NOBODY knows what the hell is going on?

Are you sure you know which module the central locking module is?
The central locking control module is behind the right side trunk trim stuffed down in a little pocket.
You changed that module? Why can't you VAG it?

Yep, changed that - no change in my car ... can't access it via the VAG - not sure why but I remember reading that the 96s can't access it via vagging it.
