Failed MAF

I got a cel and it was my MAF i am sure its becuase of K&Ns wonderfull air filter oil. My question to you is what would happen if i didnt get this fixed? would it screw up the car or effect the performace. cause its kind of a false code ya know?

Just clean it with some electrical contact cleaner and it will be fine.

Yeah my friends A4 just had that problem. It got to the point where everytime he let his clutch out to slow down his engine would die. It was really annoying to drive. LOL. We just got some MAF cleaner, sprayed it on there and it seems to be working much better now.

It's inside your air filter box. So you obviously know how to get the box open, once you get it open you need to flip the top over so you can see inside and then there will be two crews to undo. Undo those and then disconnect the wire harness going to the MAF sensor and pull it out.
