Went to get my emissions done and failed it. Apparently they dont even do anything with the exhaust on AWD cars anymore because all they did was VAG it. The code that failed me was- P0140 O2 Sensor Circut No Activity Detected (Bank 1 Sensor 2). Ohh well guess i have to get her fixed. By the way I was not to happy with the dam guy that drove my car though the lane. When he was going over the rollers he would purposly rev the engine so he could watch the boost gauge go up and hear the DV valve recirulate (basterd). Ohh well guess I am just bitter that I failed.

 

first you should try clearing the code and see if it comes back. your CEL wasn't on, was it? if it was, that's why you failed.

 

Yea the CEL was on. I knew about the code but i just didnt think they checked your codes for emissions so i wasnt worryed about it.

 

it may be different for your state..but in most states, including cali, you automatically fail if your CEL is on. that's why he only VAGed your car..in cali, you also get a free retest within usually about 30 days if you fail the first time...

 

Congratulations!! I know the feeling. throw in a new o2 sensor, clear the codes, after clearing codes wait at least 200mi then get it inspected

 

They almost smogged my Quattro on rollers with the front end only on the rollers. I was trying to figure out what they were doing, but then the CEL was on too and I failed. Got it fixed today though!
