is this a fair deal?
i'm lookin at buying an 02 a4 1.8t 5spd. it has 41000 miles. trading in my 97 1.8t auto (129k miles). they're gonna give me 3 grand for the trade in. finance amount is $14,580. w/ my credit the payment will be 320/mo.
u guys think this is a good deal if i have average credit?

how long is the loan for? 4 years? 5 years? 6 years?
As an example, for that much financed for 60 months (5 years) and paying $320 a month, your apr is around 11.4% which is not bad for a fair credit rating and it being a used car. Prime rates for used cars is usually around 6.2% or higher for excellent credit. If you are part of a credit union, those rates drop to around the mid 5s.

its a 5yr loan, and yeah i think the rate is around 11.4%. so i guess it sounds right. it just seems a little more than i would expect for an a4 thats 4 years old. i'm still building credit, so my score is low due to lack of history. guess i just need to wait another year :\

I think you should be able to get more than 3 grand for that car... try selling it yourself, and throwing that cash to the car.
