Default RE: Fault code!

Could be N75 valve, diverter valve or wastegate.

My thoughts are that it is listed as intermittent. Clear it and see if it comes back before spending a lot of time researching it.

You can run tests, I believe on measuring block 114 with your vagcom

Thanks. Also, I have noticed lately that my vacume on my gauge is 25 at times. Its normaly about 10 when i start up and then 20 when its about warmed up, and then sometimes 25 at idle. Im going to replace all my vac lines this weekend just because there is one little hose on the top near the back of the engine that i wiggled one time and i could hear/feel the inside of it under the threads that it was cracking. OH wait... I just remembered I installed my DV in reverse because on a DV website it said if you have 710N it performs best in reverse instalation. Maybe thats it?

well its about a five minute job to switch it around... so just change it to how it should be and see what happens.

Yeah i deffinately plan to do that tonight. I cant believe i forgot about that. So if there is play in the wastegate shaft it may be bad? What mileage is typical for an N75 valve to stop working?

Ummm........the n75 and wastegate are not mechanically connected in any way. There is a vacuum line that connects them....and the 'wastegate shaft' should not be able to move at all........wait maybe on the k03 but on mine it doesnt open until 18psi.....so there is no way to move that with your hands with the turbo in the car.
And as far as mileage, my car 72k and still fine.....a friend has 90k and nothing wrong with his.....so I dont know there.

Yeah i was speaking of the n75 and wastegate as two seperate things. So a small vacuum line connects them and not a larger diamater hose?

VAG 17964 and P1556 are the same fault,

Turbocharger (TC) pressure - control limit not reached,

problem = TC wastegate regulating valve, intake leak, TC deactive.

Thanks for the info.. Would a backwards installed DV cause a lack of presure in the "TC" ?
