yea i have 409.1 as well.. i cant recode anything but u can monitor and run logs, and do cool things u cant normally do without it. I love it. Im tryin lemmiwinks as we speak.

 

Like, what can you do with it? I tried their 'online demo' but it doesn't really give me much.

 

clear fault codes, read the coolant/ air intake temps,um that kinda stuff.. you can access most components in the car (tranny, radio, central locks, airbags, anything with a sensor you can read it) i found out i had a tranny code last night. and that my alarm was set off pretty nifty.. altho i havent done much with it except montior the engine blocks, i am tryin lemmiworks tomorrow on the way to work >: D

 

i assume you guys are hooking up laptops with this? im new to this whole vagcom thing, so you can run a wire from the car (serial) to usb to plug into a laptop?

you can also add a serial port to the laptop one of those on a card, only issue with USB is it need to be set to coms 3 because its default is coms 1 and thats the serial port

 

i bought one of those ebay cables, it's not to bad to basics with it but i ended up getting a real ross-tech cable and license for the extras so i could have saved the $25 or whatever it was on the ebay cable. i have it all wired up so that the ross-cable is always connected to the data port and the USB end of it come out under the passenger seat, i just leave the laptop power and vag connection in the draw under the passenger seat so i only have to make two connections to the laptop and it's ready to go. figure i'll give the old one to someone that is in need if i ever make it to a audi meetup or something along those lines.
