Default Few Exhaust Questions

I want to get a muffler and exhaust tip system for my 2000 audi a4 1.8t sport/fronttrak.

I've searched a few sites such as Borla, Miltekk, and Remus but am having trouble a place where I can actually order one that will fit my car. These sites seem to say that they do not support anything older than 2002.

Which of these three(or any I have not mentioned) is the cheapest, but still awesome sounding, and where can I find the muffler online that will fit my car?

you can get it custimized..I did it for my '03 Mustang GT with the custom exhaust downpipes and then put the 40 series flowmasters on it... the nice part is that you can mix and match when you go for the customized..Plus you can get it to sound better that way or the way you want...just get somebody you can trust to do it..

if you just want a muffler all you need to do is buy a universal piece, take it to a muffler shop and thell bend and weld it for you and make it a nice fit. my local meinekie quoted me at $50-75% depending on the ammount of bending and welding involved.

the full exhaust would be MUCH more beneficial seeing that you have a 1.8T.

Well, only if you like more power.

well I am only a poor highschool student so there is no way I am paying ~800-1000 dollars on a full exhaust system.

Is there any good muffler/tips combo I can get for under 250? Or am I going to have to go higher?

No. That is not the right thing to do. You have an Audi, man up and save your money to get a full exhaust system. You will be 100x happier in the end. Better quality, looks, sound, and performance. Plus I personally wouldnt want to see and Audi with just tips...I dunno if I'm being too harsh, but I really think that full exhaust is the way to go. It will pay off in the long run if you just save up.

Go to www.achtuning.com and go to the online catalog. Find your car (B5 A4) and look under exhaust. Make sure you look for the ones for the Fronttrak such as the one by APR. Are you automatic or manual? You can also look into the Millitek 1.8T Fronttrack exhaust (split dual muffler). ITs all there, you just gotta know where to look.
