Ok, so ive done allmy research and got all the money i need to FINALLY buy a SS for my car. so ive pretty much narrowed it down to B&M, Dieslegeek, stratmosphere, neuspeed. i found out that anyone of these would be great for my B5 a4 (2.8). but my final question is which one of these SS have the shortest stick/shaft. i love the look of a really short stick and i dont think you can get too low so anyone have any ideas??? oh and where a good/trustworthy place to get one?? i dont want to get dicked over.

 

Most people on the forums will tell you to go with ebay. i did. i spent 40 bucks altogether and i love it. but if you do decide to buy an over priced one they should tell you how much of a throw reduction they offer. highest i've seen was like 40% or 45% throw reduction.

 

i had stratmospere and loved it. never had any experience with teh ebay.

 

yea i know i could go with the ebay knock off or a DIY but idk i think if i put something "cheap" on my car i would never get over it.. hahh its like this mental thing idk.. and also i dont mind spendign money on my car i enjoy it actaully. i love her with all my heart! hah well anyways yea i figure about a 30% reduction is fine with me and most of them are around that. my biggest thing now is jsut the shortness of the stick i want shortest possible. i knwo i could buy a short shifter and then saw off some of the thread at the end of the stick but would that decrease the performance at all??

 

if you dont mind spending money get the b&m or stratmosphere. i had strat in my audi and it was great. i have b&m in the evo and its just as great

 

I have the ebay SS amd its a good piece. Best $45 I ever spent.
