i recently changed the fuel pump with the help of you guys, but i realised that when i drive my fuel gauge goes up and down too often im thinking i inserted the fuel sender unit the wrong way around, does anyone know which way around it goes?

 

When I changed my fuel sender it would only go in one way. Maybe the sender is shot? It's a very common problem.

 

it was working before i changed the pump????

and i took extra care when removing it, when you put it in did it click when it went it, im thinking that long silver arm comming from the main unit, the one with the black sqaure hanging of it, maybe it shoulod be facing the inside of the car rather then towards the outside...?

 

to add to that i used vag-com and in the INSTRUMENTS SECTION, i recieved no errors.
