First road trip in the A4, what to check/replace?
Hey guys, I've only had my A4 for about a month now. So far I've replaced the DV with a 710N, changed the oil to Amsoil(this weekend), modified the intake for a little more airflow(completely reversable) and checked the rest of the fluids. Everything looks good but I just wanted to know if there's anything else I should go over this weekend before I drive a thousand miles in this car, since it's new to me. I saw that the rear diff is leaking a slight bit, though it looks like it started recently as there isn't a ton of fluid and grunge around the rear underside. How hard is it to replace the rear diff seal? If I can do it in under a couple hours I'll go ahead and take care of it this weekend before the trip, otherwise I'll do it when I get back. Is there anything else I should look at? This is my first Audi, so I'm not real familiar with them yet.
Just a little background info on me, I've been working on cars for about 10 years, so I'm definitely not a newbie. I've done everything from rebuild a shortblock to head/cam and torque converter installs as well as various other intricate projects, so I know my way around a drivetrain. Mostly I've worked on American cars, Camaro's, Mustangs, Vette's etc so German cars are fairly new to me. My dad has a 740iL and a friend has a 328i so that's the extent of my experience with German engineering.
Thanks for the help guys!

RE: First road trip in the A4, what to check/replace?
When you are driving, and the parts inside the rear diff. are moving and circulating the oil, it is less likely to leak as opposed to when the car is just sitting. So I dont think you have much to worrie about on a long trip. Can you explain exactly how you modified your air filter/box?
