Have you noticed if when you accelerate it does not tick and when you are idle or lightly accelerating it does tick? If so it could be the wastegate valve on the turbo. I has this issue when I had my K03
i can only hear it when idling or lightly accelerating....im not saying it goes away bt once i start picking up speed all i hear is engine and wind.....my dads friend did say my turbo sounds like S***....so i was planning on replacing that anyways....if i were to buy a new turbo or have it rebuilt would that valve be something that would be included?

almsot sounds like your lifters are starting to clog to me, if you hit the gas hard or WOT, you may be getting the oil in there under hard pressure, i would try to use seafoam b4 you change your oil, you may have alittle sludging, run the seafoam for about 50 miles or so then change the oil, cant hurt but should help, if not im out of idea's
