First week of GIAC
For those of you who have flashed your car with GIAC, it seemed like one time I turned on my car I had tons of power. And the next time, not so much. And now it's a nice steady power but not as strong as it had sometimes been previously. I don't know if that makes senes. But my question is: is the computer and car adjusting to the new program, so its been acting different/adjusting everytime or what? I was just curious if that has happened to anyone else. Guess I should have searched, but its ok, I'm still under 100 posts
Yeah its normal.. Most likely the ecu adapting to the new software. It will go back and forth between what feels like stock and the power of the chip for a couple weeks at most. The day i got chipped, it was amazing, then a couple hours later it just felt like stock power... Then the next week or so it went through that kind of cycle and then its all good.

Sometimes I feel like that on my stock power. Sometimes my car will feel super quick, and for example, tonight, I felt pretty slow [
]. Ohhh well.

Yeah i remember before i got chipped... Sometimes it would feel real torquey but most the time just slow. Id like to feel what stock feels like again just for fun... Id appreciate my chip a whole lot more... but i dont feel like purchasing software that is going to make me go slower.

) I just need to get chipped, its ridiculous but i NEED suspension too, im ridin on a 5 finger wheel gap. stock wheels/nonsport.
It's VERY important that the shop that installed the software did a throttle body alignment (TBA) after installing. If you have a VAG-COM (which EVERY Audi/VW owner should have), you can do one. If you don't, you can disconnect the throttle body wiring for a few minutes and reconnect it. Turn the car ON, but don't start the engine. DO NOT touch the gas pedal for at least 60 seconds and turn the car off. Now you can drive it. That should help with the irregular performance.

yeah understandable why you wouldnt want to buy something to reverse the mod you just spent money on. I mean mpg is the same (improved even) if you dont drive like a jackass (chip tends to make you do that
