I have a 2001 2.8 quattro and recently when I'm accelerating on the highway I'll notice a slight decrease in power and the ESC light flashes a few times and then the car operates normally. This has only happened about three times in the last few weeks. Could it be a sensor starting to malfunction? I tried to search on the topic but did not come up with much.

Any help would be much appreciated!!

 

well i'm trying to think but i know that i always turn of the ESC when i start the car, i seem to get better gas milage and the car lets go of it grip so i can swing it around corners. but some times if i loose control around corners when im flying the light will turn off and the car will take control and straighten me out so i dont crash.
