Default Flat tire

I have only had my Audi A4 (2001) since Sep 04 and woke up this morning with a flat tire. Any suggestions on tires for my Audi that are budget oriented? Thanks! Jeanette

For the budget conscious, take it to a tire place and see if they can plug the hole. A lot of places do it for free.

so you have one flat? and it happened overnight... you probably just have a puncture. get it repaired, rather than putting an oddball tire on your car, or getting 4 new tires.

Before you run out and buy kuhmo's or potenza's... ask yourself what you want out of a tire, then tell us, and THEN we can help.
tire characteristics include: noise, wear, dry traction, wet traction, speed rating.

I have several take off's as well as a few "other" brands.... Post up what size and brand you have now and I will see if I can match you up w/ something.

so i was hearing this ticking noise coming from the right front of my engine bay and I thought it was something internal. it slowed down and sped up w/ RPM's but made no noise at a idle. so I'm putting some tireshine on my wheels yesterday when i see a silver screw sticking into the tread. $&#%! so its been like that for a few days. commuting to work etc. so I drive to Firestone and in the parking lot I plan on taking the screw out. if it goes flat i'll get it patched if not I'm good to go. I plied the screw out and it turned out to be about 1/2" screw. so it didnt puncture the tire and no air was lost. that would have been the last thing i need.

Plug or get some Avon Tech M550 A/S. Those tires are really cheap and perform great.

I had a nail in my LR tire for a week, the constant ticking was annoying. Instead of buying a new tire I took it to a tire shop...$25 and literally 30 seconds later my tire is good as new. Just get it plugged and drive on. But if you are gonna buy new tires get the Avon Techs, they're really that good.
