Default Fluids and FAQ

Alrighty, new to the Audi forum, not new to working/tinkering on cars.

I have an 02 3.0 Quattro AT and have a few questions to bounce off someone who would know, thought this would be a good place to start

1)Where in the world is the trans fluid check dipstick?? Is there even one on the car? I can see how to drain it but not check and refill...

2)Is there some kind of FAQ link that can give the regular maintenance schedules and what kinds of fluids to use?

On another forum for my Vette I found a online version of a Helms manual, does anyone have a copy on a CD? Thought i's ask before spending $80

Cheers for your help!

AHHAHAH yeah that wonderful tranny fluid. Nope you wont find a dipstick. If yours is like my 99.5 a4 you will need to access it from underneighth the car and there you will need to stick a tube up into and back down to get the fluid out . There are pictures in the Bently manual on how to do this. (believe thats the CD you are refering to) The manual has been really helpful to me and I do recommend it.

This is the guide for my b5, you have a B6 so it will be differnt but should give you an idea:
