Default Fog light problem

Hey guys im new to this forum
i have an 99 audi a4 1.8T with dual8000K HID kit, Low beams and fog lights, the rear fog lights
i did an modification since it only comes with fog light on 1 side (rear fog lights) i modified the rear light
and i added the bulb. well everything was fine until yesterday i turn on my car at night turn on the headlights then i click the fog lights button and i see that the fog wouldnt go on...the button doesnt stay green like it is suppost to and i already checked the fuses and the HIDs...i checked to see if the hids on the fog was bad, by connecting on theheadlight but it worked fine...then i tried to turn on the rear fog light and the button wouldnt stay with the orange color how its suppost to...so does anyboy have an idea why im having this problem with the fog lights? thanks i apreciate it.

ps. since im new to this forum i'll tell you guys what i have done in my audi
when i got the car the turbo was bad. so i replaced with an K04
then got the Forge DV
indash DVD
twokickers 12"
and low beam and fog lights HIDs

audi purposely put only one rear foglight in, because otherwise it looks like brake lights. why the hell would you try to change it?

I would change it, only one light makes it look like a taillight is out.

did you even read my post? audi did it on purpose, because if both taillights are illuminated with a bright light (the foglight) it looks like the brake lights are on. you shouldn't even have to use the rear foglight very often anyway, if you READ YOUR OWNER'S MANUAL, you'd notice it says this: "The rear fog light can distract drivers behind you, so it must only be switched on in conditions of very poor visibility."

exacly,
well first of all i come from brasil, and cars overthere have the one rear fog lights.
well i wanted to change...so i changed to 2....but i dont use it at all...i only use sometimes
when i go to work 6am and its very foggy...THEN i use it....
but the problem is NONE of the fog lights are working...i dont care about the rear ones...
i care about the front ones because i have HIDs and you have a better visual with the fog
lights on...I dont know why none of the fog lights are working...
i checked the fuses and the lights and they're both good...
i just dont know y they wonr turn on...maybe its eletrical problems?
anybody know??

well one just looks fcukin stupid

you can put two dimmer ones, and it looks like tailights not brake lights

anyway

did you just put the hid kit in there, and it started.. or have they been in there for a while.. and this is a random problem ?

for the fog lights the balasts the driver side i used ties and i tied to the chasis(because the screw wouldnt stay...u can see through the bottom grill...and for the passanger side screwed on the chasis also...nest to the DV...it was the only places i i found them to be really tied...

anyways i ran out of ideas because like i said the fuses are fine...i even changed to new ones to check...
i changes the hole kit from the fog lights to the headlights and they worked fine... i just dont know
i might take to an electricist i dont know...
