Default Found how to fix the trunk light problem (no not a new bulb)...

So over the past year of owning my car (nearly a year really) my trunk lightshave not worked... I tested the bulbs, took a volt meter to the connections (which were dead) and questioned on this forum if anyone had any idea as to how to fix the problem...

I finally did a search using google and found a VW forum where a guy ran into a problem and the fix was a micro switch on the trunk latch...

I call the Audidealer and ask how much a new switch is, and it is 20~ dollars new... Not bad I figure, could be more...

I take the trunk lining off using a screw driver with a zip lock bag over the tip to protect the carpeted screws...
I take a look at the existing trunk light micro switch and... the damn thing is unplugged...

I plug the switch in (with the wire sitting just beside it) and the trunk lights turn on... I'm happy, but what a bunch of crap! hahaha
