I recently purchased a pre-owned Audi A4 (2007). I Have stripped out the trunk liner because I am making a fiberglass mold for a subwoofer. On the left side of the trunk above the wheel well I found four wires that were not plugged into anything. The caps were green, brown, and two black. I know this is OEM because the car was previously a corporate lease and the caps on the wires all have VW and Audi markings on them, but what are these wires for? They are on the opposite side of the trunk as them amp so I doubt it is related to that.

maybe an xm module or bluetooth or old 6 disc changer. actually i dont think they put 6 disc in the trunk in 07. . .

 

those are for the satellite tuner. if you dont already have sat. radio then you can add the factory tuner for pretty cheap from ecs tuning. unless you have TPMS then its expensive

 

Thanks. Would you know by any chance if there is a remote wire in that cluster of cables To run an amp to? It would save me a lot of hassle of running the wire all the way up to my headunit when I install my subwoofer next weekend.

 

sorry i dont think there is. im pretty sure they are all for the sat. tuner (power, ant., signal) but here is a link to the thread i had about hooking up the factory tuner if you ever get one
